Kairos is a service of Whale Spout Water LLC. The Kairos messaging program sends health and fitness coaching messages to members of gyms and studios that subscribe to Kairos and who have explicitly opted in to receive them.
Messages are sent from (928) 970-5162. They include a daily morning check in referencing the member's stated goals, replies to messages the member sends, nutrition estimates in response to meal photos, and a weekly summary of workouts, steps, and macros. The program does not send marketing or promotional content.
There are two ways to join. Both require an affirmative action by the person who will receive the messages, and both are recorded with a timestamp.
Text the keyword KAIROS to (928) 970-5162. Sending the keyword is the consent. The call to action is published on coachkairos.com together with the program description, message frequency, rate notice, and STOP and HELP instructions.
On receipt of the keyword, an automatic reply confirms enrollment and states that message frequency varies, that message and data rates may apply, and how to reply STOP to cancel or HELP for assistance. Onboarding questions begin only after that confirmation is sent.
A member's gym provides their mobile number after obtaining permission. Kairos sends an introductory message explaining the service and asking for explicit consent. The member must reply YES, or a similar clear affirmative, before any recurring messages are sent.
In both cases, people are told at the point of opt in that they can reply STOP at any time.
You can cancel at any time. Text STOP to (928) 970-5162, the number that messaged you. You will receive a confirmation, and no further messages will be sent. To rejoin, opt in again through your gym.

Frequency varies with member engagement. A typical member receives one check in per day, plus replies to any messages they send. Weekly summaries are sent once per week.
Message and data rates may apply for messages sent to you and from you. For questions about your text or data plan, contact your wireless provider.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
The program works with major United States wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most regional carriers.
You must be 18 or older to participate.
